If you’ve got a tattoo then you’ve also got an embarrassing secret.

You may be a wired trance addict, a smooth-talking ghetto playa, or a chilled-out U2 fan … but there’s one question you’re dying to ask people (even though you may never actually ask it)…

“What do you think of my tattoo?”

You’ll deny this, of course.

Your tattoo is personal, right? It has meaning for you and that’s all that matters? Who cares if other people don’t notice?

But think about it: at the end of the day a tattoo is a form of communication; it is the expression of an emotion and that emotion deserves a response … be it positive or negative. After all, when you talk to someone you expect an answer, don’t you?

That’s where we come in.

‘We’ are Amar and Nisha: tattoo artists and owners of Talisman. Our teachers were masters of tattooing, in Thailand, and they taught us technique that puts magic back into tattoos – infusing the designs with energy that grabs people’s attention.

This blog is our way of sharing that magic with you through our thoughts and experiences.
